Port, GSE & Construction Equipment

For idle-heavy and low-load equipment affected by smoke, soot, DPF and fuel-cost pressure.

Idle-heavy equipment creates combustion problems

Port equipment, airport ground support equipment and construction machinery often spend long periods idling, creeping, lifting, manoeuvring or operating at low load. These duty cycles are difficult for diesel engines and aftertreatment systems.

Common problems

  • Visible black smoke and soot
  • Frequent DPF regeneration
  • Wet soot and HC-related deposits
  • EGR and intake fouling
  • Fuel consumption pressure
  • Operator complaints about smell, smoke or poor response

O3 Protegelo is especially relevant where engines rarely operate at ideal temperature and load.

Best-fit machinery

Reach stackers, terminal tractors, forklifts, container handlers, loaders, excavators, cranes, GPUs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, generators and pump sets are all suitable categories for evaluation.

Why fleet operators use this approach

Because O3 Protegelo is an external fuel-line retrofit, it can often be tested without changing the ECU, exhaust system or operating procedures. The effect can be measured through emissions, opacity and fuel-use comparisons.

FAQ

Is it only for old engines?

No. Older engines often show larger visible smoke improvements, but modern Stage V and Euro VI equipment may also benefit where DPF loading, HC, CO or fuel use are issues.

Can it be tested on one machine first?

Yes. A controlled before/after test on a representative machine is usually the best way to evaluate performance.
